Gilflo and ILVA flowmeters

Gilflo and ILVA flowmeters are compact variable-area meters for steam, liquids and gases, particularly well suited to saturated steam, superheated steam and applications where wide load variation makes low-flow performance important. Their spring-loaded cone design changes the annular flow area continuously so differential pressure remains linear to flow, supporting a turndown ratio of up to 100:1 while maintaining high measurement accuracy. That wide turndown is valuable for energy-management and process duties where systems spend significant time below peak load and poor low-flow visibility would otherwise hide steam use or process instability. The wafer construction reduces installed length, simplifies handling and lowers installation burden where traditional straight-run requirements or spool lengths are restrictive. Density compensation and signal linearisation support a more complete metering package when the installation needs accurate mass flow awareness rather than simple volumetric indication. Both compact installation and robust measurement performance make the range relevant for sites that want better steam accountability without creating a large maintenance or pipework penalty.
